More About Coach Dr. Axel Meierhoefer

My coaching practice
As a catalyst, between what somebody has already learned and the experiences they bring to the table, whether they are managers, emerging leaders or established leaders but also the aspect of how I can actually engage and help somebody. Having said that, my coaching practice consists of  two components; the first is to unpack the issues and challenges. The second is to identify the obstacles. I use the GROW model in helping my clients. G – Gold R – Current Reality O – Obstacles and Opportunities W – What are your actions, the next step towards your goal I work with the client once a week or twice a month. In some cases only once a month to check what on the action steps that were agreed in a coaching session depending on the goals established. Based on this foundation we serve our small and medium company clients. The concept was formed by learning from the big guys. My team and I were blessed to have worked with thousands of people like Jenny and Frank at big organizations like Bayer, General Electric, State Farm, Boeing, Verizon, and Merck helping them through experiential training, coaching, mentoring, Innovation Mapping and workshops.
Professional / Life experience
The last 25 years I have focused on a combination of coach as a mentor, as a facilitator and as a manager and then doing it both for small and medium-sized businesses including executives and managers of relatively large companies. As managing director of AMC, I have utilized my decades of experience to specialize in four focus areas: Project Management, Facilitation and Teaching, Learning Design and Implementation and Coaching. In the past few years, I have taken roles such as a facilitator and lecturer for universities in Europe and the United States, in addition to managing projects for corporate clients in manufacturing, services, incubators, R&D, alternative energy and utilities, pharmaceutical, and education. I have also co-developed “Innovation Mapping,” a discovery learning approach that is now being applied worldwide in the United States, Europe and India. I am certified with the International coaching Federation ICF. I’m also certified with the grow model and certified with the newest model that’s in EWS.
